We are in Concourse Hall, Ann Arbor. A "Maggot" in this context takes the 18th Century meaning of a "whim or fancy" and has nothing derogatory to it at all. There are several ECD dances named Someone's Maggot, meaning Someone's Fancy. Kind of like how tunes get passed around and pick up new names such as That Guy Who Loves This One, like "D'Allarmi's Favorite" or Jack's Maggot.
