The EASIEST guide on youtube for how to focus with a mf (manual focus) lens !
I got this Nikkor Lens for Christmas ... and as a amauter that i was i didn't knew how to use him . It took me 3 months to figure out how to take awesome pictures like 2:03 , 2:10 , 2:15 . After of weeks of searching and after a lot of blury pictures i finally find out a trick that is impossible to fail . With the help of the old cameras system ( with no auto-focus) i noticed that DSLR cameras are in getting focused only when the green light turns on 1:08 .So either you are using an AF ( auto-focus ) either MF ( manual-focus ) Lens this green light is always going to be on when you have focused right .
IN SUMMARY: The first thing you need to understand is what the numbers mean at the Manual Focus Ring 0:17 . At the top is the distance in feet and at the bottom in meters .And by using this measurements you must be calculating the distance between you and the object 0:30 . And probably the green light is not going to be turned on 1:08 . So the only thing , THE TRICK , you have to do is to move the Manual Focus Ring to the LEFT or RIGHT ( and always marking your object) until this green light turns on .I hope you find this video helpfull ( leave a comment below! )
