【MK8】Cloudtop Cruise -
Oh man, am I glad to have finally picked up a noteworthy ranking here. This track has been my favorite track according to in-game statistics since around 2016 or so, but I always fell short every time I came back to try to improve over the years due to a lack of understanding when it comes to Lap 3 lightning patterns.
The run you see here isn't the greatest, but it is something I can be proud of. I started playing again on the 5th, so cutting over 1.1 seconds in the span of 2 days is awesome, because I regarded CC as one of my strongest Time Trial records. All 3 laps can be improved upon with the strategies used, making a 1:58.2XX a realistic goal if I stick to these strats.
I'm currently in the process of learning how to become more consistent with the double superbounce sequence laps 2/3 so I can start implementing it into runs, so we'll have to see how things pan out. Maybe in the future I could have 1:57 potential, who knows?
Sidenote: I know in my last PB video I said I wanted to focus on bSCS and bMH in Deluxe, but that's not my main priority now since 8u has seen a resurgence due to Nintendo reviving the servers after 5 months of shutdown, and I'm generally enjoying 8u again more than 8dx by a longshot.
I've been currently investing in improving my timesheet based on the MK Database site for a fun goal of personal improvement. So far, I've been able to get my rGV and rDDD down along with this CC improvement, though, they're still not great. Anyways, I hope you enjoy the video!
