TMA Showcase - Side Effex
What happens when you mix Shreveport and Beaumont in a rock band? Side Effex was a Dallas band that went through several versions... but this was my favorite in 1988.
Donny Sabo was from Shreveport but had just joined us coming from Houston punk band, The Pin Ups. Rockin' Rob Hunt is also from Shreveport LA on lead guitars with Josh Courts and Ted Pearce from Beaumont, TX on drums & bass. The event was a Texas Music Association showcase at Dallas Live Cafe on Greenville Ave in 1988.
Note: Donny Sabo died in Houston in the 90s and was buried in a potter's field. No one knows for sure when or where.
