"Santa Baby" is a christmas song very popular which Madonna choose to colaborate with in a record called "A Very Special Christmas", in 1987.
The benefits of this project were given to "Special Olympics International". Many others artists who were number ones at that moment joined the album: Run-D.M.C., Pretenders, John Cougar Mellencamp, Pointer Sister, Eurythmics, Whitney Houston, Bruce Springsteen, Sting, U2, Bob Seger, Bryan Adams, Bon Jovi, Alison Moyet, Stevie Nicks... al of them produced by Jimmy Lovine.
"Santa Baby" seems written for the "Material Girl" (you just have to read the lyrics). Madonna sings it with girlish, provocative, sweet-ididntdoit-voice. Maybe she tried to imitate Marilyn Monroe.
