Choripán is a popular street food in Argentina, particularly associated with Buenos Aires, and enjoyed during outdoor events or casual gatherings, such as barbecues. It is a sandwich that combines chorizo, a type of pork sausage, with bread—most commonly a crusty French-style roll, similar to a baguette.

The name churipán comes from the blend of "chorizo" (the sausage) and "pan" (Spanish for bread). It's typically served with various condiments, especially chimichurri, a tangy sauce made from parsley, garlic, vinegar, olive oil, and chili flakes. You can also find people adding mustard, mayonnaise, or salsa criolla (a mix of tomatoes, onions, and peppers) to enhance the flavor.

Churipán is the Argentinean equivalent of a hot dog but with much more flavor due to the spices in the sausage and the variety of sauces. It's a staple at soccer matches, food festivals, and outdoor markets, and can also be a prelude to a more extensive Argentine barbecue (asado).

It’s quick, filling, and packed with flavor, making it a beloved snack throughout Argentina and other parts of South America.
