Trends I have notice in 3 cities. I am almost certain most of these trends started here or got popular here.
Birmingham was the first USA state to popularize the gold teeth movement. Note USA state. Florida was not a state when this started in early 1820's. A group of well to do individuals (former slaves and landowners) wore gold teeth as a status symbol
Buffalo gold rings many of them... this trend is old as the buffalo chicken wing itself, but the late great Rick James made it bigger and more mainstream.
Hartford a place we hat manufacturing took off and a place we there is a lot of religious people who happen to be catholic. Therefore, the cross pendant with a hat is extremely common.
