Watch this real unedited video of a dogfight between 2 dogs we were working with. To be clear, this is not a tutorial of what to do or what not to do. So for those who like to troll around looking to leave negative comments and unwanted critiques — sorry to disappoint you lol. I’m sure your vast knowledge and insight is impressive but we aren’t trying to prove anything to the internet. This is simply a video that was being made for the client to update them on their dogs that were in training at the time. And it didn’t go as planned.

Many trainers only show the successes and the stuff that looks good on social media. But real life isn’t like that. We think it’s important for people to see some less than perfect moments in training. We hope people who love and/or train dogs can learn and grow because of videos like this.

A little background — It’s important to note these dogs are brothers and have had a history of aggression with each other. In cases like this, there comes a time when you have to put them together to help them relearn how to be around each other. Obviously, they fell back into their old pattern and we had to take a step back and readdress some things.

Secondly, there are some things I’d do different if I could go back and relive this moment. For example, as soon as Gus snuck into Rocky’s run, I would close the gate and “reset” the session rather than continuing on — because it’s obvious Gus was doing his own thing rather than what he should have been doing.
