Frank Obeng Addae is a Ghanaian PhD in Biological Science in Public student at Havard University. In 2016, he completed Boa Amponsem High School in Ghana. He was later accepted to the University of Ghana to pursue an undergraduate degree in Biochemistry, Cell and Molecular Biology. He graduated in 2021 and received numerous awards as a result of his strong personal and academic credentials. Among them was being named Valedictorian of the College of Basic and Applied Sciences in the University of Ghana's 2021 graduating class.
As someone who is passionate about finding novel therapeutics to combat infectious diseases, he took up several internship opportunities at the West African Center for Cell Biology of Infectious pathogens in preparation for a graduate degree in this field.
During this talk, he shared the details of the statement of purpose(SOP) that got him into Havard on a full scholarship and also provided his perspective on how to write a compelling SOP for a graduate program.
