Conic section L-3 by Kirti sir ex faculty Bansal classes kota centre. This video lecture cover condition When focus lies on directrix. abc+2fgh-af^2-bg^2-ch^2=0 then it will represent a pair of straight lines.
If e is greater than 1 or h^2 greater than ab then lines will be real and distinct and will intersect each other at focus.
If e=1 or h^2=ab then lines are coincident and lines will be perpendicular to directrix and passes through focus.
If e is less than 1 or h^2 is less than ab then lines are imaginary.
