Searching for her mother. Little Amal represents a fictional nine-year-old Syrian girl, embodying displaced children today. The giant puppet was created by the South Africa-based Handspring Puppet Company. "The Walk" tells Amal's life story, her search for her mother and flight to safety.
La petite Amal est une fillette syrienne maquillée de neuf ans qui représente les réfugiés d'aujourd'hui. La Handspring Puppet Company, basée en Afrique du Sud, était responsable de la fabrication de l'énorme marionnette. "The Walk" raconte l'existence d'Amal, son voyage vers la sécurité et sa quête pour retrouver sa mère.
La pequeña Amal es una niña siria de nueve años maquillada que representa a los refugiados de hoy. La Handspring Puppet Company, con sede en Sudáfrica, fue la responsable de fabricar el enorme títere.
