Ireland is one of the fastest adopters of cashless technology, with a younger demographic who are willing to embrace this fast and frictionless form of payment.
Cashless payments is emerging as the No.1 way to pay in Ireland, with credit and debit card spending reaching €40.1 billion in the first half of last year. Mobile wallet payments accounted for an impressive 32% of all card transactions at POS terminals, averaging 40 million transactions per month.
