This DnB track explores the philosophy behind the title. Kintsugi (金継ぎ, "golden joinery") is the Japanese art of repairing pottery with gold or silver lacquer and understanding that the piece is more beautiful for having been broken. Such restoration creates a gorgeous piece of art and makes a philosophical statement as well. Kintsugi shows that breakage and repair is part of the unique history of an object, rather than something to deny or disguise.
