The game allows you to collect characters featured in the prequel trilogy, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, the original trilogy, The Force Awakens, and the video game Star Wars: Battlefront. All characters are unlocked using shards, which are also used to level up the characters. Additionally, equipment equipped on the characters increases their health, attack, and armor, while special character abilities can be unlocked using Mk. 2 ability upgrade materials. Characters are divided into healers, support, attackers, and tanks.
In addition to the Campaigns for the Light and Dark Side of the Force, respectively, there are modes: Trials (where players must complete certain tasks daily), Arena (where players clash in battles for the title of the best), Cantina (where you can get materials to improve Mk abilities and special character shards), Galactic War (where the player goes through a short campaign with all their characters, replacing retired fighters with new ones and where you can get special characters), and Events (where you can earn bonus credits, experience and shards of the legendary Master Yoda, Grand Admiral Thrawn, Emperor Palpatine, R2-D2, as well as new characters)
