My first goal in every mission, is to kill enemy leaders with they upgraded squad. After this, you can cut their resourses, and come back to your objective. when you free Wizard Horek, take him through river to east, and don't forget to protect him. You won't need 10% Innitiative, but you'll need it on next mission.
