A poetic image.
The soundtrack is the sonification of data from the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), particularly the ATLAS experiments which aims to find the Higgs Boson (also known as the God Particle). An algorithm is applied to ATLAS data that prints columns of numbers representing data properties like momentum/energy, spatial position and time. Those numbers are read by software which matches pitch to momentum, volume to energy, timbre to particle type and so on.
