A Russian bylina about heroes and princes who ignored prophecy and went into battle was written by Alexei Konstantinovich Tolstoy! "Three Battles" is the title of this work. The bylina is about how wise Russian women tried to save everyone, but the Slavs didn't listen, and something terrible happened! Does it remind you of anything? Tolstoy wrote it a long time ago, but his poems are especially relevant today. Ancient Rus' was full of events, but why don't we listen to and hear what our Slavic ancestors convey to us?
