How to Make a Garry's Mod Map: The Essentials

This tutorial covers most of what you should know to make a solid map. Of course, I'm not teaching a class in level design so I sort of breeze over the different methods you can layout your map. But this tutorial serves as a good framework to build upon.
Remember, mapping takes time and it can be deathly boring if you really aren't interested. It's best to wait until you have some idea that you want to realize in Hammer, and then slowly pry away at it.
