Dr. Joe C. Turnage bestowed with Fellowship from the American Nuclear Society
At the American Nuclear Society's 2024 Annual Conference in Las Vegas, ANS awarded Dr. Joe C. Turnage (Retired, former Sr Vice President Generation Group of Constellation Energy) with a Fellowship for scientific or technical leadership in a nuclear enterprise of substantial scope. Dr. Turnage received the Fellowship in recognition of his visionary leadership and direct contributions to the development of methods for improving nuclear plant performance, and for analyzing utility generating system operating strategy.
Dr. Turnage was unable to attend to receive the honor. ANS Vice President-elect and AMS President and incoming ANS Vice President, Dr. Hash Hashemian, as Chairman of the ANS Honors and Awards Committee presented a video tribute to Dr. Turnage at the conference, at the Opening Plenary on June 17, 2024.
