Prevent Lock Button To End Call in iPhone (iOS)
In iOS 15.7 and earlier versions, by pressing the side button on the iPhone, you would immediately end the phone call, if your desire to answer the call was ignored.
Apple has solved this problem in iOS 16. You can reprogram the side button to lock your screen instead of ending calls.
