Every spring (MAY) it's exciting for us to be done using lake water for everything from drinking to laundry, and finally start setting up our summer water line. It's a situation we've talked about many times over the years, but in recap, it's a 2,000 ft+ pipeline that runs from a fresh mountain spring down to our back yard. We have water pressure coming through every faucet, and the holding tanks get filled without the use of the pump and generator. So yeah, every year it's a great feeling for us to get this step taken care of. We have to help it along by removing the rest of the stubborn snow, and then next week we will unwind the pipe and get everything connected.
The other big improvement is that huge roll of carpet we hauled in by snowmobile freight sled is finally getting installed!
We swapped the living room and dining room of the lodge like 6 years ago, which meant the new "living room" area still had linoleum under area rugs.
Well, in this episode we finally cover it up with new carpet, and it looks great!
