How to teach your dog an off switch
We all want that unicorn Belgian Malinois. The one who brings drive an intensity to the field but who is also a well behaved member of the family and able to coexist in the home with minimal management on your part.
To do accomplish this with my pack of 4 Belgian Malinois, I teach an "off switch". This is just another way of saying that I teach my dogs their drive and excitement levels will be interrupted or capped when inside the home.
In today's video I offer a simple beginners exercise on how I go about laying the ground work to teach your dog an "off switch" inside the home.
