Exploring Brunei on a Budget!| Travel with Carter

First, let's start by exchanging our money. At today’s rate, $10 USD equals about 13.23 Brunei dollars. Now, let’s dive in and see what kind of adventures and treats we can experience with this budget! 💸🇧🇳
After a quick look at Brunei's beautiful currency, I hit the streets to try some local food and explore what makes Brunei so unique. For starters, I enjoyed a popular local dish, Nasi Lemak Ayam Panas, paired with Teh C (iced milk tea) – a fantastic combo! This delicious meal came in at around $8-9 USD.
One interesting thing about Brunei’s currency is that they have an interchangeability agreement with Singapore. That means you can spend Singapore dollars in Brunei and vice versa—super convenient for travelers!
I also picked up a few unique snacks, including purple sweet potato chips (so tasty!) and a new kind of Oreo with half white and half dark filling. Plus, I discovered a unique macadamia nut iced coffee that was only $1.10—a perfect, refreshing way to start the day. ☕️
