From the Archives - Tornado Visit To The GCRN
First video upload for 2019 & one from the Ay76 yet to be uploaded archives. In this video filmed on February 10th 2018 at the GCRN railway in the UK, we see Tornado in action. Filmed rail side with permission, we see Tornado arriving at Rushcliffe Halt. Tornado is seen running with MK3 stock & one of GCRN's class 47's. I believe the use of MK3 stock was for testing purposes, for future steam hauled mainline tours possibly using MK3 stock?
We then see Tornado at various other locations along the GCRN line on the outbound run. Later on, you'll see the train being hauled back to 50 Steps with one of the GCRN's class 47's. Once back at 50 Steps, Tornado then takes charge again & hauls the train back to Ruddington.
