REQUIREMENTS:-
Bicarbonate of Soda (Baking Soda)
Vinegar
A glass, tall and straightFood colour
WHAT TO DO?
Add a tea-spoon of baking soda into the glass. Thenadd some vinegar to it.
WHAT HAPPENS?
Bubbles erupt out of the glass when the soda comesin contact with the vinegar
WHY THIS HAPPENS?
This happens because the bicarbonate of soda is acompound of sodium, hydrogen, carbon and oxygen.In the chemical reaction, it breaks up when it comesin contact with the vinegar. The carbon and oxygenseparate from the other elements. Togetherform a gas, carbon dioxide.
