The IELTS Listening test will take about 30 minutes, and you will have an extra 10 minutes to transfer your answers to the answer sheet.

The IELTS Reading test consists of 40 questions, designed to test a wide range of reading skills. These include reading for gist, reading for main ideas, reading for detail, skimming, understanding logical argument and recognising writers' opinions, attitudes and purpose.

The Writing test takes 60 minutes. There are two tasks to complete. Task 1: It is suggested that about 20 minutes is spent on Task 1, which requires candidates to write at least 150 words.
