Despite being one of our favorite genres, there are far too few turn based tactical games being released these days with the exception of Fire Emblem and a few indie projects like the Shadowrun series. In 2012, Firaxis released Xcom Enemy Unknown which helped breathed new life into the genre and successfully rebooted the classic UFO defense franchise. Now, 4 years later, Xcom 2 hopes to improve on all of the elements of its predecessor.
