Weight Test - a few people have commented that they just use the weight test when checking for counterfeits. That’s super risky.
Here’s a quick video showing how that could Potentially be a problem and some easy back up tests after a pass on the weight test.
Everyone should really be using multiple testing methods. Personally like weight, dimensions, ping, and a magnet 🧲. The item being tested needs to pass all of these tests, not 1 not 2 but all 4 of these tests, minimum. Visual is a great test also and if you have a few extra minutes check out specific gravity.
Always test and verify your metals. It’s easy and a fun reason to spend time with them.
