Based on an old original instrument from Germany this beautiful ukulele is a baritone ukulele with the body of a lute. The tuning is the same as the four highest strings on a guitar and the instruments come in different pitches. The eleven-piece round body is assembled from strips of rosewood. The solid spruce top is fitted with a rosette based on a design by Magno Stegher from 1607.
The neck and head are made of solid sycamore, the fingerboard and headstock are made of walnut. Modern machine heads ensure "good tuning". . Upper nut and bridge inlay are made of bone and the instrument comes standard with a turned strap button at the lower end of the body
