The Great Indian Wars 1540-1890 1. Indians
This was the longest battle in US history, raging throughout the Mexican-American War and the American Civil War. For many years, skirmishes between mounted and foot nomadic warriors and settlers and regular troops continued on the Great Plains. According to official sources, tens of thousands of people on both sides died during these clashes, earning the Wild West a reputation for being dangerous and brutal. These events became known as the "Great Indian Wars." Humans settled on the American continents over 30,000 years ago, and since then, great civilizations have emerged here, rivaling those of Europe, Asia, and Africa. These civilizations left behind numerous cities (now abandoned and hastily restored by archaeologists from all over the world). Many are familiar with such monumental structures as the Pyramid of the Sun and others. To this day, scientists don't know who built them, except for those who believe that such enormous stone structures were built by local residents for religious purposes and out of a passion for astronomy. The local peoples had their own customs, faith, and culture. For centuries, they lived in harmony with nature, but then the Europeans arrived (or rather, sailed). The locals initially mistook the white-skinned foreigners for gods and treated them accordingly. But then they realized who had come to their home. And so the war began...
