Bump Stock Ban Overturned
The ATF rule banning bump stocks has been overturned by the Supreme Court. The question on this case was not about Second Amendment rights, but whether or not the ATF had the ability to regulate the accessories as machines guns, even though they specifically do not violate the definition of functioning with a single pull of the trigger.
The vote was divided along ideological lines and could be a preview for other gun control cases regarding ATF overreach that are currently being argued and fought at various levels in the judiciary.
