Verbal routines can help a child "fill in the blank" during play and are a great strategy to incorporate into any activity your child loves to do.

Verbal routines are a tool we can use in speech therapy to help develop vocabulary, but even MORE important is to improve attention with little ones. This helps a child start to attend to us and the communication we are engaging in together. If your child is not yet attending, you might want to start here!

Here are some verbal routines to start out with:
One, Two...___! (three)
Ready, Set... ___! (go)
I got... __(it)
I love... ___ (you)
Here we...__? (go)
