GM49 - Kötöde (vinyl)
The band was formed in 1980 in Budapest, under the direction of the famous Hungarian comedian Miklós Galla. The name of the band comes from his initials, and the fact that he as a kid liked the Italian film Seven times seven (Sette volte sette), and 7x7 is 49 :)
They were the first band in Hungary, who played Ska and Reggae music with ironical lyrics, later in the middle of the 80s (after numerous member changes) they played synth pop, released one album (Digitális majális), and a bit later they disbanded.
Miklós Galla later revived the band, calling it "GM több mint 49" (GM more than 49)
