The Trade Bazooka: The EU's Secret Weapon

Anti-Coercion Instrument, or "ACI." This special regulation, also known as the "trade bazooka," was adopted by the European Union back in late 2023. It was developed after China attempted to pressure Lithuania, which agreed to open a Taiwan representative office in 2021, despite formally supporting the "one China" principle. However, this special EU trade weapon has never been used until now. Its use was first discussed last summer, after Donald Trump announced his decision to impose 30% tariffs on European goods. However, the situation was resolved by reaching a trade agreement with the United States.
