We get asked a lot about the differences between Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) (formerly Windows Virtual Desktop of course) and Remote Desktop Services (RDS). We even wrote a blog about it which you can find:- https://www.foundation-it.com/news/rd...
AVD has a number of advantages and benefits over RDS (in our opinion) which combined, improve user experience, cost and supportability.
Here's the first of several short videos explaining where the differences are under the bonnet. In this video, Technical Consultant and all round AVD knowledge hub Toby Skerritt looks at the architectural differences between AVD and RDS. Enjoy!
