Sneaker Tribe - KAWHI "New Money"
"The Klaw" Kawhi Leonard of the Clippers has had an extraordinary career in the NBA thus far, winning two NBA championships and as many Finals MVP awards (first with the Spurs and then with the Raptors). He is the first NBA superstar to have his own signature shoe with a relatively unknown presence in the basketball sneaker realm, New Balance. His signing with NB helped to propel the brand into the global basketball scene.
This is Kawhi's second sneaker with NB, but his first signature shoe with them. Kawhi left behind sneaker giant Nike to join New Balance and that has paid off for him in terms of exposure. In this episode, we review Kawhi's first signature shoe in the "New Money" color way with our guest, Darren Stephen Lim, basketballer and owner of boutique fitness studio, D'Fitness.
