How to GIVE and ASK for DIRECTIONS in Spanish to get to a PLACE
When we find ourselves in a country we don't know, it is most likely that at some point in our trip, even if we have a map, we get lost. Also, sometimes maps don't have the information we need. For this reason, it is important to know how to ask for directions in SPANISH. This way you can get to your destination faster than trying to understand a map.
Also, it may happen that we find ourselves in a city that we know perfectly well, but when someone comes to ask for directions in Spanish, we don't know how to communicate in this language, and our help is useless if we don't know how to express ourselves.

Imagine the situation: you are walking along the promenade of a coastal city, in the United States or some similar place with your friends or your family and you see a couple who have all the appearance of being foreigners and lost. They approach you and you start to sweat. Oh no, surely they are going to ask you for an address or a monument and you will have to tell them how to get there in Spanish!
Or this other case: you are traveling in some North American capital (or another English-speaking one) and you have gotten lost. Your mobile is out of battery, so you don't have the option to use Google maps. You have to do it the old-fashioned way: by asking someone how to get to the place you're looking for.
Luckily for you, you recently brushed up on the vocabulary on how to get to places, so you feel able to deal with the situation calmly. The foreign couple asks you where the museum is, and you explain it to them with great confidence. Or, in the second example, you ask a friendly person you see on the street how to get to the station, using the phrases you have learned. And without sweating!
