What is a cultural pattern?

When we are born, we are all pure in terms of patterns to be followed, as we have not yet gone through the process of socialization. The only thing we have is the natural human instinct that, according to Freud, leads us to do purely and simply what satisfies our natural needs (Instinct Theory). Within this context, it is clear that it would be impossible to live in a group, and it is worth noting that humans already realize that living in groups is the most viable form of survival without establishing patterns with which the individuals in the group can relate in a simple and orderly manner. Based on this assumption, we conclude that there is no people among whom there is not at least a certain number of common ideas, feelings, and practices. At this point, human beings aim for these practices to be passed down from generation to generation, thus giving rise to what we call cultural elements. In this sense, the culture of society provides its members with models of social behavior and conduct, and these models of behavior are called cultural standards.
