In this demonstration Charlie walks us through the tools and basics of adding woodcarving embellishments to our woodturnings. She covers tools, carving techniques and sharpening.
Charlie Philips started off as a decorative Artist in the 80's and started teaching decorative painting about 5 or so years later. In the 90s Charlie decided to try wood carving and soon discovered that it just added another dimension to her decorative painting.
Our club meets the first Monday of each month in Denton, Texas in the Center for the Visual Arts (Corner of Hickory and Belle Streets) at 7PM. All are welcome to attend!!
