Takemi Takayasu Sensei is an important figure in Uechi Ryu. Representative of Kenyukai in France, this master was born in 1950 (February 25) and studied under Shinjo Seiyu in 1970.
From his early days, he achieved significant athletic achievements, both in kata and kumite, in the All Okinawa Uechi Ryu Karate Do.
In 1983, he moved to Paris and almost immediately dedicated himself to establishing a Uechi Ryu organization there. Shortly after, he obtained his 6th degree and successfully founded the Uechi Ryu Karatedo France Association.
He has appeared on the covers of many magazines, including the famous "Budo," on television programs in France and throughout Europe, which have been broadcast worldwide.
In July 1992, he participated as an observer in the "North American Congress of Uchinanchu Civil Ambassadors" in Los Angeles, United States, as a representative of the Civil Ambassadors in Europe. In April 1993, he was named a Karatedo Master by UNESCO.
He currently holds the rank of 8th Dan. He always professes to support Karatedo as a spirit of world peace.
