The biggest issue I've seen in snowboarding is people going from one movement to another all at once. But this removes one of the most beautiful and important parts of snowboarding. Pre-motions.
Every snowboarding trick/turn is based around pre-motions.
In order to perform a turn, you need to position your body in a wave that lets you deal with your momentum. On a backside 360 you have dozens of different positioning techniques, and moves you do on every set up and snap.
With perfect technique and no promotions, your turns are gonna skid, but with perfect promotions and bad technique, you can shred really good.
So you want both, but all of snowboarding is based around the promotions, and it's not a really talked-about topic. In this video, I just want to bring some awareness to how important it really is.
