BahdKo: "This is a Map1 game between Galiu and I at Adoctor's LAN in Montreal in February of 2004. We recorded 4 complete games and a few part-games, and I felt like this one was the best candidate for release. This was Galiu's first Doom LAN since 1998, and the various Map1 games reflect various states of recovered skill. On my side, the games had varying states of fatigue and distraction. This game seems like a good game for both of us, despite an early rocket suicide accident on Galiu's part. Some things to note: Galiu wasn't using silent BFG much (if at all), he said he didn't feel comfortable using it at the time. His BFG isnt practiced up in general but other stuff is working great for him. Gal's characteristic way of using the chaingun in hallway situations, similar to typical SSG timing and usage, remains well developed (watch for a surprising and hard chaingun vs rockets kill, especially). His SSG remains clean throughout.
This release makes for an interesting nostalgic look at Galiu coming back for some Doom LAN action after a 6 year general break from doom, and on my side its a reasonably well played game.
The weird moment of handgun firing and pausing the game in my POV was one of my earphones stopping working, and me having to fix it. I need new headphones now."
