The Quad Force Machining strategy with the QFM geometry uses multiple tool engagements in different machining applications to maintain a constant spindle speed and feed rate. The QFM cutting tool geometry can be defined as a hybrid combination of (1) high feed geometry, (2) variable flute geometry, (3) variable helix geometry and (4) offset geometry. By combining the previously listed cutting technology, the QFM geometry is capable of performing high feed machining, Trochoidal machining, side / slot milling and plunge / variable plunge milling.
