FASCINATING FACTS ABOUT MONALISA PART 2 | Artma by Venkatesh Paspureddi
Share this with you other artist friends. ✨
Here's the Part 2. If you haven't watched the Part 1, do check it out on the handle. 👩
A few others things that we couldn't include because of the duration of the video:
Portrait Paintings would always show people in a grand attire, with jewellery and the best accessories. Monalisa was made with very simple attire and virtually no jewellery because Da Vinci did not want any distractions
The pose of Monalisa is very relaxed in comparison to other paintings of that time which used to be woman standing stiff with a stern expression. In a lot of ways this was the first Candid picture ever made.
The painting was found almost 2 years later after being stolen and it was Vincenzo Peruggia, who was in charge of installing glass in the museum who just picked it up and escaped.
Hope you enjoyed watching both parts.
Thanks a lot for liking and sharing this with fellow artists who will appreciate this. 🥰♥️
Like always stay strong and keep creating.
