The Air Turbo Rocket with Matt Thomas
The Air Turbo Rocket (ATR) features a high specific impulse (Isp) making it much more fuel efficient that a regular rocket engine, and it features high thrust and acceleration compared to turbojet. It has excellent performance potential for military missiles, and for micro/nano-satellite launchers. The ATR may indeed be the best possible engine to launch a scramjet which one day may eventually significantly outperform even SpaceX's planned Starship for launch from Earth due to the high specific impulses of both ATRs and scramjets (not to mention potential airport operations for space launch systems).
