TRON Roller Coaster: Magic Kingdom vs Shanghai Disneyland Comparison - Full 4K POV
I am happy to report that both versions of TRON are exactly the same! I loved this coaster when I first rode it in Shanghai in 2016, and it is just as awesome in 2023.
A few notes about this video:
The canopy lighting is constantly changing so it is not the same in both videos. From what I can tell, all the same effects exist on both versions of the ride.
The ride seems to go *slightly* slower on the Shanghai version most likely due to there being less weight on the train.
For those saying this ride is "too short" ... well, it's about the same length of track as Rock n Roller Coaster and Space Mountain, and it is actually longer than Big Thunder and Seven Dwarfs. I think it just feels shorter because it launches to 59mph / 94kph and the entire ride is very fast!
For those of you saying "This ride doesn't look that thrilling" it is VERY thrilling for a Disney coaster. Sure, it's not Kingda Ka or anything, but this is also a Disney park. It is easily my favorite coaster Disney has ever built!
