A rope hangs from a rigid support . A pulse is set by jiggling the bottom end. We want to design the rope in such a way that pulse move through it with constant speed v. Find an expression for the mass per unit length μ of the rope, to achieve the desired result. Take μ₀ as mass per unit length at the top.
