#शैला मध्य प्रदेश, बिहार, उत्तर प्रदेश के सीमावर्ती इलाकों में आदिवासियों के मध्य एक लोकप्रिय नृत्य है। इस नृत्य में पूरे गांव के युवक सम्मिलित हो सकते हैं। इसकी तैयारी भी #करमा की तरह एक माह पूर्व से ही आरम्भ जाती है। युवक आदिवासी पोषक में मोरपंख कमर में बांध कर वृत्त या अर्धवृत्त बनाकर नाचते हैं। हर युवक के हाथ में दो-दो फुट का डंडा होता है जिसे लेकर वे नाचते हुए ही आगे -पीछे होते रहते हैं। घुँघरू बांधकर मादल लेकर बजाते हुए बीच-बीच में 'कू-कू ' या 'हूं-हूं' की आवाज़ करते हैं जिसे 'छेरवा' कहा जाता है। होली, दीपावली, दशहरा, अनंत चतुर्दशी, शिवरात्रि के अवसर पर यह नृत्य किया जाता है।
नृत्य सभी समाजों में संस्कृति और कला का एक महत्वपूर्ण प्रतिनिधित्व है। जब आदिवासी/स्वदेशी समुदायों की बात आती है, तो नृत्य न केवल उनकी पहचान बनाने में बल्कि उनके विश्वदृष्टिकोण को संप्रेषित करने में भी केंद्रीय भूमिका निभाता है। उराँव आदिवासियों के बीच एक #लोकप्रिय कहावत है, "एकना डिम टोकना, बा'ना डिम परना," जिसका अर्थ है, " चलना #नृत्य है और बात करना गाना है।" "
