In this webinar, Dr. Megan Springate gives an overview of current LGBTQ+ preservation in the United States and the importance of preserving and remembering LGBTQ+ spaces, places, and history. She also focuses on DC's LGBTQ+ history and sites, followed by a Q&A session. Dr. Megan Springate received her PhD in Anthropology from the University of Maryland. She edited and contributed to the award-winning publication, LGBTQ America: A Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer Theme Study for the National Park Service and National Park Foundation. She is currently Assistant Research Professor with the Department of Anthropology at the University of Maryland.
