Sometimes you will have appointment times, sometimes you will not.
You can call most times to see if you can come early. If this works out you may be able to go on to the next load early too. Sometimes however your next pick up or delivery is based on the appointment time.
For morning pick ups at first come first serve spots. If you can go in early and check in for the next morning. You will be ahead of many other drivers who will choose or either assume you must wait until the morning. Again, early in early out. Doesn't guarantee how soon your next move will work out but it makes you available.
Other times you may want to go in early, when traffic will be a problem if you wait until the appointment or opening time. In some cities you can look forward to wasting time in stop and go during rush hour. If you can avoid this by going in early and in some cases sleeping overnight if they let you, this may work out better for you.
Also, if the place you must dock at is at a tight spot and you need to be in traffic to do it, it's in your best interest to go in early if possible.
But it will usually be your decision. In most cases no one will tell you or suggest. If they do.......Usually there is a very good reason why, many other drivers have had problems, so you should take their advice at least your first time at that location.
Ok, that's all.
Bye now.
Oh someone said something about a backing vid, it's coming soon.
